T-Solutions, Inc. has been a leader in the application of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). RCM is a data driven, analytical methodology for developing or reviewing a scheduled-maintenance program that will realize the inherent reliability levels of complex systems and equipment while taking into account safety, operational and economic failure consequences. The goal of RCM is to preserve system functionality while optimizing maintenance requirements and resources. Our successful implementation of RCM in various large organizations has led to increased operational availability, increased revenue, and the elimination of unnecessary and potentially harmful maintenance practices.
T-Solutions also has past deep experience with Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). T-Solutions’ Executive Vice President and Technical Director, Ken Jacobs, is an expert in CBM and RCM implementation in large organizations based on his leadership in implementing those programs while working at NAVSEA as the Surface Ship Maintenance Director and where he was the Deputy for RCM to Amtrak’s Chief Operating Officer.
The US Navy RCM-based SURFMER initiative, led by Mr. Jacobs, was responsible for the elimination of 49% of wasteful organizational preventive maintenance man-hours thus creating time for Sailors to focus on the balance of maintenance that has a measurable positive impact on safety, mission and economic performance.
